Hometown Holidays
Hometown Holidays in Morton brings festive cheer with two exciting events: Village Skate and Holidazzle. Village Skate features an outdoor ice skating rink where families can enjoy music, skating, and fun, all while supporting local schools, as proceeds from the event benefit participating Morton schools. Meanwhile, Holidazzle encourages holiday shoppers to explore and support local brick-and-mortar businesses. Participants receive bingo cards with various Morton shops, offering a fun and engaging way to discover and promote small businesses in town during the holiday season.
Village Skate
Date: November 29th, 2024 - December 8th, 2024
Time: 4PM - 8PM each night
Location: 214 S Main St, Morton, IL (Outdoor event)
Get ready to lace up your skates and join us for Hometown Holidays Village Skate! Enjoy the outdoor ice-skating rink, while raising money for the Morton schools! 100% of on-site ticket sales will be donated evenly back to the participating Morton schools. Tickets can be purchased on-site with card only. The event is cashless. We encourage you to dress to the theme of each night of Village Skate. The night will also consist of music, food, and fun for everyone! From Friday November 29th through Sunday December 1st Pumpkin Donuts will be for sale out of Carius Creamery for $10 a 6 pack. *Once we are out of donuts we will not be ordering more, so ensure you get there early...they may not last through Sunday December 1st.

Our annual Holidazzle event features a bingo and coloring contest that kicks off on Small Business Saturday, November 30th - December 6th! To participate in the fun grab a bingo card from any participating business and start shopping! By purchasing an item from a participating business, you will earn a sticker or stamp on your bingo card. Coloring Contest
To enter your drawing in the coloring contest, click the button below for the Coloring Contest Entry Form and Coloring Page. (Ages PreK-6th grade only) To submit your drawing please drop your coloring page and form off to the Morton Chamber of Commerce or Captivation Dance by November 25th. See form for more details and drop off hours. Winners will be emailed prior to November 30th. Winners will be announced on November 30 at 6:45PM at the Tree Lighting. (Memorial Plaza, Downtown Morton) Drawings will be displayed in the windows of Captivation Dance throughout the holidays.
