Keynote: Recalculating, Finding new direction in times of change.

Kim is a two-time international award winning public speaker – who’s delivered motivational, though-provoking and humorous presentations to audiences across the United States and Canada. With experience in both media and corporate communications, Kim has done everything from television reporting, to social media for a fortune 50 company, to donor relations at a Children’s Hospital, to entertainment at the Walt Disney World Resort. With her depth and breadth of experience, Kim’s mission is to inspire audiences to achieve their potential through the power of creativity, imagination and forward thinking. And we’re excited to see her work her magic.

Program Mission and Goals

The mission of Leadership Morton is to develop business and community leaders by cultivating skills, awareness, and engagement through intentional learning experiences for the continual betterment of the Village of Morton and our employers.

The program identifies emerging leaders to protect the tradition of strong leadership for our community on a continuing basis by:
  • Developing informed, skilled and vigorous leadership capable of understanding community, organizational, and corporate issues, interpreting facts related to the issues and influencing decisions based upon these facts;
  • Preparing a number of committed individuals to assume responsible positions with non-profit, civic, citizen, and corporate organizations within the community; and
  • Providing participants with a broad understanding of public issues, workings of state and local government, civic challenges facing all of us, and the role the community and organizations play in problem solving.

Eligibility

Participation in Leadership Morton is open to individuals who reside, work, or spend a majority of volunteer time in Morton. A maximum of 22 are selected annually for the program.

Attendance

Leadership Morton class members are expected to attend all sessions in their entirety and participate in all activities related to the program. The privilege of acceptance into the program carries a substantial responsibility to be present and punctual.

It is understood that extenuating circumstances beyond a participant's control may impede attendance and punctuality. All class members must notify the Chamber Staff in advance if they are unable to attend a specific session in its entirety. Absence from any portion of the Leadership Morton program, may result in dismissal from the program.

Tuition

Early Bird Discount (through December 2): $375 for Members, $475 for Non-Members
Rate after December 3: $425 for Members, $525 for Non-Members

Tuition covers all costs associated with the program.

Refunds (less $50 for administrative costs) for this program are only offered prior to January 13, 2023.
