2022 Leadership Morton Graduation Breakfast

Cost includes breakfast, speaker, and graduation celebration.


Keynote Speaker: Kim Kaufman
Keynote: Recalculating, Finding new direction in times of change.

Kim is a two-time international award winning public speaker – who’s delivered motivational, though-provoking and humorous presentations to audiences across the United States and Canada. With experience in both media and corporate communications, Kim has done everything from television reporting, to social media for a fortune 50 company, to donor relations at a Children’s Hospital, to entertainment at the Walt Disney World Resort. With her depth and breadth of experience, Kim’s mission is to inspire audiences to achieve their potential through the power of creativity, imagination and forward thinking. And we’re excited to see her work her magic.

Program Mission and Goals

Leadership Morton exists to cultivate business and community leaders by building skills, increasing awareness, and fostering engagement through purposeful learning experiences. The program’s ultimate goal is the ongoing advancement of the Village of Morton and its employers.



The program’s objectives include:

  • Identifying and equipping emerging leaders to sustain the tradition of strong leadership in our community.
  • Developing informed, capable, and proactive leaders who can understand and address community, organizational, and corporate challenges, interpret facts, and make decisions based on informed perspectives.
  • Preparing dedicated individuals to take on impactful roles in nonprofit, civic, corporate, and citizen-led initiatives within the community.
  • Offering participants a comprehensive understanding of public issues, the functions of state and local government, the civic challenges we face, and the vital role organizations and the community play in creating solutions.


Eligibility

Participation in Leadership Morton is open to individuals who reside, work, or spend a majority of volunteer time in Morton. A maximum of 20 are selected annually for the program.

Attendance

Leadership Morton class members are expected to attend all sessions in their entirety and participate in all activities related to the program. It is understood that extenuating circumstances beyond a participant's control may impede attendance and punctuality. All class members must notify the Chamber Staff in advance if they are unable to attend a specific session in its entirety. Absence from any portion of the Leadership Morton program, may result in dismissal from the program.

Registration Cost

Early Bird Discount (through January 10th): $375 for Members, $475 for Non-Members
Rate after January 10th: $425 for Members, $525 for Non-Members

Registration covers all costs associated with the program.
